Hi, I’m Bek.

I’m an integrative counsellor and psychotherapist who supports individuals in navigating relationship challenges — whether that’s ongoing conflict, emotional distance, difficulty expressing needs, or feeling stuck in unsupportive, repeating patterns.

My approach is collaborative, body-aware, and culturally attuned, shaped by years of experience across both healthcare and wellness.

Before becoming a therapist, I worked as an oncology nurse, where had the honour of sitting with people in some of life’s most vulnerable moments. Being with grief, loss, and uncertainty allowed me the privilege to hold space for pain, and deepened my belief in the importance of relationships, purpose, and connection in our lives.

I also spent several years in the fitness and wellness industry, where I developed a deep appreciation for the mind–body connection. That experience continues to shape how I practice today: with an understanding of the importance of change not just through insight, but also through integration with the body.

During this time, I also worked as an Operations Manager, where I gained insight into business development, leadership, and team dynamics. This background helps me relate to the pressures often faced by entrepreneurs, managers and those navigating high-demand work environments.

As a therapist of Chinese-Vietnamese Australian background, I bring a culturally sensitive lens to this work. I understand the tension many clients feel between cultural expectations and personal needs, especially when navigating identity, belonging, family roles, and bi-cultural or intergenerational dynamics.

Therapy with me is a space to explore the complexity with curiosity and compassion, so you can make sense of what’s emerging, what’s not working, and move toward changes that feel more meaningful, relationships that feel more connected, and a life that feels more aligned with who you truly are or want to be.

MY APPROACH

A Holistic Approach to Therapy

Often, patterns live not just in the mind, but are also intertwined with the body, which is why I integrate somatic and nervous system approaches into my work, supporting you to reconnect with a deeper sense of safety, presence, and possibility.

My style is warm, grounded, and collaborative.

My practice is integrative, drawing on attachment theory, internal family systems, somatic therapies, emotion-focused therapy and polyvagal theory.

I offer an integrative blend of:

  • Talk therapy – to support emotional insight, self-understanding and integration.

  • Experiential processes – to access deeper, sometimes unconscious content to facilitate healing and self-awareness.

  • Body-oriented (Somatic) therapy – to track and release emotions and trauma stored in the body, and regulate the nervous system.

  • Relational skill-building – to enhance your capacity for conscious communication, boundary setting, and navigating relational dynamics.

get to know me
  • By the Water
The ocean is my go-to place when I need to reset. Something about the salt air, the sound of the waves always brings me back to myself.

  • In the Kitchen
Baking is my little creative escape. I love the process of following a recipe, getting a bit messy, and ending up with something warm and delicious. It’s comforting, grounding… and honestly, who doesn’t like indulging in a little treat fresh out of the oven!

  • On the Mat
